Whether you are moving within Canberra or interstate, quality removal cartons are the best option. Our boxes are double core providing a strong foundation to stack on and will not crush or crumple the way single core boxes do. The boxes are uniform size which means they can be trolley'd onto the truck quickly and will maximise the available space. When boxes are too small to be trolley
easily, are not structually strong enough or are multiple sizes, they take additional time to load and take up more space on the truck which ultimately costs more.
Our tape has strong long lasting adhesive, our mattress covers are heavy duty and our packing paper will not leave prints or marks on items (like newspaper would).
We offer our Canberra based customers 1 x FREE delivery. We also offer a return credit on boxes for our Canberra based customers when you are finished (conditions apply)!
Book Boxes are the smallest of the box range we supply at Leader Removals and Storage, and as the title suggests they’re primarily designed for books and other small heavy or fragile items.
Tea Chests otherwise known as Standards are the next size up from Book Boxes. These boxes are primarily used for bigger lighter items that don’t fit within a Book Box. Often linen, cushions, larger ornaments, Tupperware etc. are packed in Tea Chests. It is important to remember that a Tea Chest should only be packed to a reasonable weight that does not exceed a limit that could cause strain, stress or injure when lifting or carrying.
Porta-Robe (and rail):
Porta-Robes are the largest and most suitable for hanging clothes, shoes, items that require packing but are too tall for a Tea Chest. In most cases, the Porta-Robe will use a rail that fits across the top inside which is generally used for hanging clothes. It is recommended to use the rail when possible as it increases the Porta-Robe’s structural integrity.
Butchers paper is used for wrapping fragile items (glasses, ornaments, crockery, etc.) for protection prior to placement inside of the box. Crush is recycled Butchers paper scrunched up and placed at the bottom of the box prior to pack and often used at the top and between tiers before sealing to create a crumple zone to protect the items within the box.
There are many different tapes used within the removals industry however at Leader Removals and Storage we use one type which is considered to have the strongest adhesive providing the highest quality for packing and securing the box shut.
At Leader Removals and Storage we supply mattress covers/protectors that are colour coded in accordance to mattress size. The cover slides over the mattress and is taped at the open end. The colour codes are as following:
King – Yellow, Queen/Double – Blue, Single – Green, Lounge Covers – Pink, Chair Covers – Grey.
In additon, we provide Couch Covers, Armchair Covers, Dining Chair Covers. The plastic covers are not necessary in every instance as the protective blankets used in the truck will often suffice.
After a box is packed and taped, we recommend writing the room the goods came from and a brief description of the goods within. Write on the tape not the box as it is then clear that this is the most recent information. For Canberra based customers, this is also a condition of refund (WRITE ON TAPE ONLY!).
